Got to Nairobi

Leaving Eugene 06.28.2011

The flights were all uneventful, just very long. It took a little over 24 hours to get to Nairobi. I had 2 carry-ons, 3 checked bags and a box about 4 feet long and 8 inches square as my luggage.  All 3 bags came off the  belt about the same time.  I waited and waited for the box until most all the bags had been  picked up.  I was sure I had seen every one on it at least twice before I asked one of the guys at the airport if he could look around for it, and he assured me that everything was on the belt. So I went up to make a claim for a lost bag; I waited in line for quite a while and just as I got to the counter, the guy came up with the box, which was in the back and had never been put on the belt. At any rate, I got here with all the luggage.  Will try and get them all to Kapoeta tomorrow--much smaller plane and I think there could be a weight problem.  Will let you know.
