diggging set

Sunday was kind of slow, didn't do too much. I tested the last of the transformers and read a lot. Since I didn't post yesterday, I thought I would send one early today, just for the line crew at Lane Electric. I was walking by the warehouse and guess what caught my eye? The South Sudan version of what most of you guys think of as my favorite set of tools--a banjo an a tamp. Here the spoon is the guy down in the hole. Anyway, here are some pictures of them and one for Randy of me testing pots. The first is what they use to tamp the holes with. The second and third are of the banjos. As I was looking at them, I kept thinking how great it would have been if our banjo and tamp had a two inch pipe for handles. No more worries about breaking handles. I used the pot tester to test for shorts, then to test the turns ratio I put 220 into the high side to see what came out on the low side. I was glad to have the pot tester just to be sure there were no internal faults before I heated them up.
