More trouble with the Internet

My computer would not display an internet page from Wednesday night until noon today.  I thought for sure it was done for. But I came home for lunch, and it came right up no problems since then.  Part of what kept me busy both days is that there is no gasoline anywhere in this town. All the rigs are diesel and you can get that at the two stations in town, but no gas. So to keep the tree trimmers busy, I went around and took what I could out of a couple of the motorcycles. When that is gone, the saw shuts down until we get more gas. Aside from that, I spent some time helping the guy who sets up new services figure out how to get power to a couple of new meters. We had a real downpour today, and a river south of town flooded over the road. The general manger was on one side of it and the town was on the other I'm not sure how long he was there waiting to cross, but he forded it just as we came out to check on him.

The first picture is of some kids--it seems every time I pull up to look at something a flock of kids comes running up to the truck. The next one is of the general manager coming back from Kenya. We had quite a cloud burst today and the river flooded the main (and really only) road running south from town. The next one is of people gathering wood after the tree crew fell a tree. As soon as they fall a tree, people start taking any branch that they can carry. In the last one you see women carring wooden poles I have no idea what they do with them but you can see them being carried all the time.
